Leclerc and Ferrari are coming to Singapore after two hugely important – for their spirit at least – wins in Belgium and Italy. The circuit characteristics are not expected to favour their car so it would be surprising to see a Ferrari on the podium on Sunday night. In contrast, Max will have what is needed to challenge Lewis for another win.
Despite not having won in the last few races, the model has given Hamilton the lead in both qualifying and race. It’s interesting that Leclerc is predicted to start 2nd, in front of both Bottas and Verstappen! Still, I don’t buy this prediction and I would except a Lewis-Max front-row lockout.
Sergio Perez was hit with five-place grid penalty for gearbox change while Daniel Ricciardo excluded from qualifying for MGU-K infringement.
