About

My name is Asterios Stergioudis and I’m a Data Scientist who loves Formula 1. Apart from my daily job, I’m applying and experimenting on Machine Learning algorithms in contests featured on kaggle.com.

This is my blog regarding an F1 race result prediction engine I’ve been building as a personal side-project. All predictions are based entirely on machine-learning methods i.e. no race simulation and no manual input. The engine makes predictions based on historical data gathered through ergast.com. Apart from the regular blog posts, the predictions will also be exposed via an API.

The main purpose of this blog is to drive discussion and bring up ideas around Machine Learning and Data Mining applied on anything related to Formula 1. You can read more about the project on my first post.
