Another dominant performance by the Red Bulls confirmed what we already knew from the pre-season testing and the Bahrain GP. It is hard to predict that anyone else may clinch the championship other than Max Verstappen and Red Bull. Alonso, after another great drive, managed his 100th podium finish in F1 and joined this exclusive club along with Hamilton, Schumacher, Vettel, Prost and Raikkonen. Ferrari and Mercedes will have to fight hard to keep their place as the 2nd and 3rd best car as they did last year – it will all depend on the mid-season progress. Keep in mind that Aston Martin will have more space to develop its car since it finished lower in the constructor’s championship in 2022.

Verstappen and Perez are the model’s favorites for the upcoming race in Albert Park with Leclerc predicted to qualify 3rd in a circuit were we took victory last year. The model has started adapting to the 2023 season and Alonso is predicted to finish 3rd. I personally think he will have more competition this time. I would love to see the local Oscar Piastri finish in the points but McLaren face serious challenges this season…
