Azerbaijan GP 2019
Mercedes are coming for the 3rd consecutive one-two despite not having the fastest car in all GPs but the upcoming Azerbaijan circuit, with it’s really long start-finish straight, should be suiting the Ferraris better. An interesting fact is that only one driver who has started from pole has ever managed to finish in the podium. That’s how unpredictable the next GP is.
The model, predictably, thinks that Hamilton and Bottas will take the front row of the grid and will finish one-three with Sebastian separating them. I would bet on Ferrari and Vettel to take the win here if he/they want to stay in contention of the title this year. But take the predictions with a pinch of salt since in Azerbaijan anything can happen. You only have to look at last year’s race when Stroll got on the podium and Ricciardo won starting 10th!
Gasly, Raikkonen, Kubica and Giovinazzi were handed grid penalties and will start from the end of the grid and the pitlane.
