Abu Dhabi GP 2023

Abu Dhabi GP 2023

The upcoming race will be the last one for the – extremely long – 2023 season. Both championships have been decided with Red Bull and Max Verstappen doing something extraordinary. Their dominant performance was also followed by their first 1-2 in the drivers standings – something that the mighty bulls did not manage in the Vettel-Webber era. Behind them, the 2nd place in the constructors championship is open with Mercedes ahead of Ferrari with just 4 points. Further behind, McLaren and Aston Martin are 11 points away.

Ferrari has the momentum but I think the silver arrows will keep their position. With the current McLaren form, it’s hard to imagine Aston Martin to get such a huge advantage over McLaren in a single race unless Alonso and Stroll pull a rabbit (or two) out of their helmets. At least this year’s championship was decided fairly (yes, I can keep saying for many years to come after the 2021)…

  1. Hello Stergios. Very impressive the predictions for the race! Did you adjust something on your predictive model? I’m curious to know more about this great result.

    1. Hey there. The model used for this race is the same as for the rest of the season. However, I retrain it after every single race so it gets better and better. Having said that, it makes worse predictions in the first few races of a season since there is usually some change in the car performance.
