Azerbaijan GP 2022
Ferrari and Leclerc failed to convert a Monaco pole position to a race win twice in the last two years. The Monegasque desperately wanted to win in his home race but he ended up being 4th due to mistakes in race strategy. Perez went on to win this race and Max extended his lead on Charles. Ferrari seem to have a competitive car and will be hoping to convert this into race wins, and hopefully championships, sooner rather than later. Baku, a place where Leclerc also qualified first last year, is a good place to start closing the gap to the Red Bulls.
Leclerc is also supported by the model to take the pole (53% vs. 47% to qualify ahead of Max). I believe that the Ferraris will fill the front-row of the grid but the race is hard to predict. As an outside bet, I think a Mercedes will make it to the podium on Sunday. Do you agree?
