Canadian GP 2022
Ferrari suffered a huge blow in Azerbaijan with both drivers retiring. We cannot know whether Leclerc would have won the race, but definitely he would have been on the podium. Red Bull grabbed this chance by finishing 1-2 while George, Mr. consistency, Russell got the 3rd place. On another note, Lewis suffered so much from the porpoising (i.e. bouncing) effect that FIA announced plans to tackle this problem. The solution won’t come soon, but it’s nice to see safety being put first. Given all these, the Ferraris will need to bounce back (no pun intended) and start collecting solid points if the want to be part of the championship fight.
The model thinks that Reb Bull will again finish 1-2 in the race. I wouldn’t bet on that. I think that Leclerc will take the win with Max coming home second. I’m looking forward to seeing any progress from the Mercedes on the porpoising front and how well Hamilton physically is after the nightmare Baku GP.
Charles Leclerc and Yuki Tsunoda got penalties and will start at the back of the grid due to exceeding maximum number of power unit components.
