French GP 2019
The Canadian GP was the first time this season where a Ferrari crossed the line ahead of both Mercedes. Still, it was Lewis Hamilton who won the race after a controversial penalty on Vettel. In any case, Ferrari were competitive for once and will try to replicate their performance in
Paul Ricard circuit this Sunday. Will they make it? I’m not that convinced.
The model gives Hamilton a 59% chance of qualifying ahead of Bottas and a 69.5% of Lewis finishing ahead of Vettel in the race. Of course, the model never learned that Vettel was ahead of Hamilton for the majority of the previous race because the model only looks at the end result. Apart from that, it will be worth looking at the performance gain Red Bull will make after Honda’s engine upgrade.
Kvyat has received a grid penalty for engine change and will start at the back of the grid.
