Mexico City GP 2023
Mercedes got so close to winning the US GP – and would have won it had they pitted Hamilton one or two laps earlier in the first stint – but it was again Max who took victory in the end. Hamilton and Leclerc ended up being disqualified after the race for technical infringements. Ferrari once again messed up their strategy and managed to bring Leclerc from first in the grid to sixth at the end of the race. All this mess, means that Perez got just a bit safer in the drivers standings while McLaren are now in front of Aston Martin in the constructors championship.
Going to Mexico, I believe that Perez will want to give a good show on his compatriots and he may end up having a good result. Behind the two Red Bulls, six cars will be fighting for the top-scoring positions but I think it will be either Hamilton, Norris or Piastri who takes the last podium position. Exciting times now that we have four teams relatively close to each other!
